April 2024 Prayer Focus

Please use this prayer focus as you are led by God’s Spirit, in personal prayer times, in church prayer times, passing it on via church communications/Facebook groups etc.

  • Scripture

Luke 24:5 – “Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen!“

  • Be thankful

24-7 Prayer Room in Ipswich – now running to end of December at least. Please consider signing up via this link. It will be time well spent in God’s presence interceding for this town.

“Crown Him, Ipswich!” prayer time – there were several different churches represented and much heartfelt praying. Many verses and inspired encouragements were left to pass on to the selection of organisations being prayed for.

The opportunities that gradually improving weather gives for mission and practical compassion activities in our communities.

The opportunities Easter has presented for sharing the core basis of our faith with neighbours, friends and family.

The Gathering for young people which was hosted by CYM – around 30 requested prayer and ministry.

  • Intercede

Together For Ipswich – awaiting funding to setup Night Light Cafés in Ipswich (as pioneered in Lincoln). These will be places in church facilities for people to go and chat in the evening with local church volunteers and be signposted to appropriate health & related services.

Health Services around Ipswich – of whatever nature. Pray for energy and a clear sense of priorities as so many people need the help of this sizeable team. May their God inspired work result in much healing.

Office based workers – pray for people to appreciate the work that goes on, often unseen, in offices. May these workers use their time productively while making time to support each other in their personal lives.

Police – give thanks for the law enforcement work that the police do week in and week out. Pray they have the intelligence they need to prevent crimes as well as catch offenders. Uphold their victim support activities which are of such value in crisis situations.

  • Prayer suggestion

Dear Lord, we are so grateful for your salvation, so clearly remembered at Easter. We thank you that you want to commune with us, infuse your wisdom into us and give us the energy and focus we need to do more of your Will. Pray that we will share these truths with others, that they too can receive from You what you long to give to them. We ask this in the saving Name of Jesus, Amen.
